AAPA believes proper oversight and regulation of airport charges are necessary to ensure that airport authorities do not exploit their monopolistic position to impose excessive charges on the airlines.

'Doc 9082/6 - ICAO Policy on Charges for Airports and Air Navigational Services' provides guidance principles on necessary requirements for the successful regulation of airports.
