As airlines continue operate in a highly competitive environment, managing costs and losses has become more critical for airlines to survive and succeed. AAPA supports the airlines in fraud prevention initiatives and encourages airlines to share best practices in detecting and reporting fraudulent tickets, documents, practices, and actions.

The cost of aviation fuel continues to dampen the profitability of our members, thus it is essential that our members are able to cope and manage their fuel costs well. Taxation and levies on airlines and passengers continues cause further financial strain on the industry. AAPA firmly believes that air transportation plays an important role in global business and tourism, and is a catalyst for economic growth.

In the finance arena, AAPA closely monitors issues such as fraud prevention, aviation insurance, fuel, and taxation, often leading initiatives to lobby against unfair taxations, levies and charges and against fraudulent activities that seem to often targeting the aviation industry.
