Industry Affairs Department (IAD)
The Industry Affairs Department identifies, tracks and analyses commercial and aeropolitical issues and concerns that affect member airlines.  The department also closely monitors regulatory and commercial development of issues and concerns, and provides support for filings to regulatory bodies and/or support of implementation activities.

IAD supports member airlines on matters such as:
  • Distribution
  • Aviation War Risk Insurance
  • Emergency Response Planning and Crisis Management
  • Facilitation
  • Simplifying Passenger Travel
  • Fraud Prevention
  • Liberalisation in Air Transport
  • Competition Legislations
Reporting to the Commercial Director, IAD currently has three dedicated staff handling industry affairs related matters.
